Meshy v7 — Text, Image, or Multi-Image to 3D

Meshy's Flagship 3D Engine, with Three Ways In

Meshy v7 is Meshy's flagship 3D generator, and it accepts whatever you're starting from. Describe the model in plain language with text-to-3D, upload one reference picture with image-to-3D, or provide up to four photos of the same object from different angles with multi-image-to-3D for a more faithful reconstruction. Whichever mode you pick, you get the same controllable output: standard, low-poly, or the new smart topology mesh style, triangle or quad topology, a target polygon count, optional PBR materials — and an ultra mode that pushes texture and geometry quality to the model's maximum. Export the result as GLB, FBX, OBJ, USDZ, or STL, and preview it interactively right on this page before you download.

The three input modes cover different starting points. Text-to-3D builds a model from a written description alone — name the object, its style, and the details that matter, and choose between a fast untextured preview, a full textured generation, or ultra quality. Image-to-3D is the right call when you already have a reference — a product shot, a render, or concept art — and want the model to follow it. Multi-image-to-3D goes further: feed it up to four photos of the same object from different angles and v7 reconciles them into one consistent mesh, which is the most faithful way to digitize a real object without a scanning rig.

Meshy v7 keeps the direct mesh control the series is known for and adds to it. Smart topology — new in v7 — produces game-ready edge flow automatically, alongside the familiar standard and low-poly styles. Pick triangle topology for engine-ready meshes or quad for cleaner editing in DCC tools, set a target polygon count, use symmetry control, and enable PBR materials when the model needs to react correctly to lighting. Ultra mode raises the ceiling: a fully textured, highest-quality generation for hero assets. Auto-rigging adds a skeleton to characters, with preset animations available on top.

The workflow stays simple. Pick a mode, provide your text, image, or photo set, adjust the mesh and texture options if you want, then generate and inspect the model in the built-in interactive viewer — orbit, zoom, and check the silhouette from every angle. When it looks right, download it in the format your pipeline needs. Every generation is also saved to your dashboard gallery so you can return to it later.

How to Generate a 3D Model with Meshy v7

01

Pick a Mode & Provide Input

Choose Image to 3D and upload a clear reference, switch to Multi-image and add up to 4 photos of the same object from different angles, or use Text to 3D and describe the model you want.

02

Set Mesh & Quality Options

Pick standard, low-poly, or smart topology, set your target polygon count, and toggle PBR materials — or enable ultra mode for the highest-quality textured result.

03

Generate & Download

Click Generate, then orbit and zoom the result in the interactive viewer. Download it as GLB, FBX, OBJ, USDZ, or STL — every model is also saved to your dashboard gallery.

Why Choose Meshy v7

Three Ways In — Text, Image, or Photo Set

Start from a written description, a single reference picture, or up to four multi-angle photos of a real object — one flagship model, three input modes, the same controllable mesh output.

Smart Topology & Ultra Mode

New in v7: smart topology produces game-ready edge flow automatically, and ultra mode pushes texture and geometry quality to the maximum — with standard, low-poly, triangle/quad, and polygon-count control still at hand.

Rig It, Animate It, Export Anywhere

Auto-rig characters, apply preset animations, and download GLB, FBX, OBJ, USDZ, or STL — preview interactively before you commit, then drop the model into game engines, AR runtimes, DCC tools, or a 3D printer.

What Can You Create with Meshy v7

01

Game Assets

Turn concept art, reference photos, or a written brief into props, characters, and environment pieces — smart topology delivers game-ready edge flow, and low-poly keeps real-time budgets in check.

02

Digitize Real Objects

Photograph a product, prop, or collectible from up to four angles and let multi-image-to-3D reconcile them into one faithful mesh — no scanner or multi-camera rig required.

03

AR & VR

Produce lightweight GLB and USDZ assets that drop straight into AR experiences and VR scenes, viewable in any glTF- or USDZ-compatible runtime.

04

Hero Assets in Ultra Quality

When one model has to carry the scene — a storefront centerpiece, a key character, a marketing render — enable ultra mode for the highest-quality textured result v7 can produce.

05

Animated Characters

Generate a character, auto-rig it with a skeleton at the right height, and apply a preset animation — the previewed and downloaded GLB plays the motion out of the box.

06

3D Printing

Generate a mesh from text, an image, or a photo set and export STL or OBJ for slicing, prototyping, and physical models of objects, miniatures, and collectibles.

Frequently Asked Questions About Meshy v7

What inputs does Meshy v7 accept?

Three kinds. Use the mode switch at the top of the generator: Text to 3D builds a model from a written description of up to 600 characters, Image to 3D reconstructs one from a single reference picture, and Multi-image to 3D takes 1–4 photos of the same object from different angles for a more faithful reconstruction. All three produce the same controllable, exportable 3D output.

What is smart topology?

Smart topology is a new v7 mesh style that lays out edge flow automatically the way a game artist would — cleaner deformation and more efficient geometry without manual retopology. It sits alongside the familiar standard and low-poly styles; pick whichever fits your pipeline, and fine-tune with the triangle/quad and polygon-count controls.

What does ultra mode do, and what does it cost?

Ultra mode is v7's highest quality tier: a fully textured generation with the best texture and geometry quality the model can produce. It costs slightly more credits than a standard textured generation — the exact total is always shown on the Generate button before you start. For quick drafts, you can also go the other way and generate an untextured base mesh for fewer credits.

How does multi-image-to-3D work — do the photos need to be special?

Upload 1–4 photos of the same object taken from different angles — for example front, left, back, and right. Ordinary photos work; keep the object clearly visible with consistent lighting for best results. v7 reconciles the views into a single consistent mesh, which captures proportions and hidden sides more faithfully than a single image can.

Can Meshy v7 rig and animate a character?

Yes — enable auto-rigging to add a skeleton (set the character height for correct proportions), then optionally apply a preset animation by action id. When rigging or animation is on, the previewed and downloaded model is the rigged or animated GLB. Rigging and animation are billed as small add-ons on top of the base generation.

Which formats can I export?

Meshy v7 outputs GLB for the web, game engines, and AR, plus FBX and OBJ for DCC tools, USDZ for Apple AR, and STL for 3D printing. The model is also previewed interactively in your browser before you download.

How is Meshy v7 different from Meshy v6?

v7 is Meshy's flagship: it adds a multi-image mode (1–4 photos of the same object), the smart topology mesh style, and an ultra quality tier, on top of everything v6 offers — text and image input, PBR materials, rigging with animations, and multi-format export. If you want the best quality or need to digitize a real object from photos, use v7; v6 remains a solid, slightly cheaper choice for everyday assets.
